Piovanello tridattilo, fotografato nel Delta del Po in località Bacucco, sulla spiaggia dell’Isola dei Gabbiani alla ricerca di piccoli molluschi, crostacei e piccoli insetti acquatici.
Questo uccello si riproduce nella tundra artica e sverna nelle regioni del Sud Africa rendendosi protagonista di una delle più lunghe migrazioni nel mondo degli uccelli.
Lungo le coste italiane, in particolare su quelle sabbiose, il Piovanello tridattilo lo si può notare in migrazione generalmente fra aprile e maggio o fra settembre e ottobre.

This bird breeds in the Arctic tundra and winters in the regions of South Africa making itself the protagonist of one of the longest migrations in the bird world.
Along the Italian coasts, particularly on sandy ones, the Tridactyl Sandpiper can be seen migrating generally between April and May or between September and October.
